Must be CONFIRMED by BOTH TEAMS and can not be melded throughout the hand.
If there is a WILD CARD (2 or JOKER) or a 3 (red or black) then continue to play as Regular Canasta.
The BEGINNING of EACH HAND/ROUND starts a new card remember to confirm the card at the table.
